Learn more about us and why I decided to create a website dedicated to resources for Doulas
We Provide Access To Resources For Doulas
My name is Mecca Carter and I have been a Doula since 2020. As a former Librarian I am passionate about providing resources to my clients and their families. In the process of doing so I have discovered that there is a lot of time spent researching on tons of different websites and other media in order to locate necessary resources for Doulas and their clients. I thought, "Why shouldn't there be an easier and more efficient way to find resources?". And so the idea for Doula Resource Library was born.

I have designed this website so that Doulas in the state of Oregon are able to easily access resources for their clients and their Doula business needs. In the future we are hoping to expand this service to Doulas in other states as well.
About Mecca Carter
Mecca Carter was born and raised in The Bronx in New York. As a well educated woman, she had gone to school and gotten her Master's Degree in Library Science. She then moved back to Portland, Oregon to have her child in November of 2019 at Providence Portland Medical Center.

During the birth of her child, Mecca had the opportunity to have two wonderful Doulas by her side. Through this personal experience and her experience helping others who were pregnant navigate their pregnancy and birth, she discovered being a Doula was her true calling in life. Since then she has dedicated her time to helping mothers and families in Portland, Oregon who are going through their own childbirth journey.
